The AVID Racing Can-Am Maverick R XRC 2-Seat / MAX Rear Baja Race Trailing Arm Kit is a high-clearance rear trailing arm package for factory shock applications on the Maverick R XRC 2-seat and 4-seat MAX chassis. Designed for drivers who want the strongest factory replacement trailing arm on the market, this kit brings AVID's Baja Race Series construction, internal reinforcement, and race-developed durability into a complete rear arm package.

This version is built around the same Baja Race trailing arm architecture as the two-seat kit, with fitment set up for the XRC 2-seat and 4-seat MAX chassis. It is intended as a stock-replacement rear trailing arm package that keeps the factory rear shock location while adding the clearance, internal structure, and complete hardware package expected from AVID's high-strength Maverick R program.

Most trailing arms rely on localized gussets around obvious high-stress areas. AVID takes the structure much further. Inside each arm is a full-length 2 inch .120-wall chromoly tube spine that connects the front of the arm to the rear, tying the major load areas together instead of reinforcing them as isolated points.

That internal spine is bound between five vertical layers of .120-wall chromoly plate, with boxing gussets and directed reinforcement placed intentionally to control how load moves through the arm. Each spine, gusset, and plate is positioned for a specific load-path purpose, setting this arm apart from typical replacement trailing arms that only add reinforcement where failure is already expected.

Even with that level of internal reinforcement, the arm is designed to stay efficient with material placement and overall weight. The result is a high-strength rear arm package designed to be substantially lighter than most competing heavy-duty replacement arms on the market, without giving up the strength AVID expects from a Baja Race Series product.

These arms are based on the same design direction and field data behind AVID's Maverick R Baja race trailing arm program. After real-world testing, failure analysis, design review, and simulation work, AVID developed a reinforced internal structure for factory-shock-location Maverick R applications that need serious strength without moving away from the stock suspension layout.

Every arm is made in the USA from 4130 chromoly plate, using .120 inch and .187 inch material where required. Each assembly is 100% hand TIG welded with double-pass welds over chromoly construction. AVID proprietary stem cups are machined from solid 4140 billet steel, and the kit includes the titanium hardware package required for the arm assembly.
