What sets the 300M steel apart is its composition. This aircraft-grade alloy is a modified, reinforced version of the already robust 4340 chromoly, enhanced with the addition of Vanadium and a higher silicon content. Vanadium, a common element in high-speed tool steel (HSS), plays a crucial role in elevating the steel's strength to unparalleled levels. This means our 300M axles are built to withstand even the most demanding conditions, ensuring maximum durability and longevity. The increased Silicon content further enhances the steel's strength and hardness, while also providing superior resistance to high-temperature oxidation. This means you can count on our 300M axles to perform flawlessly, even in the harshest environments. By using such a high grade material your wondering wait if my axle doesn’t break what will next? This axle was designed not only to be the strongest but to also be long lasting and not break your bank. What we have done is we’ve used 4340 chromoly steel for our CV joints. So both the inner and outer CV and its internal components like the race and cage use this material. Since 4340 chromoly is more elastic it will take the load transferred through the axle shaft and absorbs it so that it does not give any extra stress to your differential. This means you can put down some serious power from your differential as well without worrying about the inner components or axle shaft. We left no stone unturned when designing this axle. We re-engineered the inner cage design to increase its strength beyond just changing materials. Ontop of all this our axles are truly race ready because the inner components have already been micro polished and we’ve paired this with a propriety grease that has been tested at Dakar, Baja and KOH to reduce the overall heat generated by the cv joints.
