The AVID Racing Can-Am Maverick R Baja Race Chromoly Uprights deliver the same corrected front end geometry as our billet uprights in a high strength, cost conscious package. Built from precision cut and TIG welded 4130 chromoly plate with vertical uniballs in true double shear, these uprights carry the AVID RACE numbers for KPI, scrub radius, caster, and camber gain so the Maverick R feels precise and stable at high speed.

Even though these uprights are plate construction, they are held to the same standard as our billet products. All critical bolt pivot points use fully machined steel bosses so the bolt shank locates perfectly in shear and the suspension can cycle with precise, repeatable movement. The product images highlight these machined components to show the load paths, strength, and attention to fitment.

These chromoly uprights are designed to work with the complete AVID Maverick R Baja or RACE front kit and must be installed as part of the full system. They provide a very strong and reliable option that is significantly stronger than the factory cast upright while keeping overall project cost under control.

The lower pivot uses the same location as the factory upright, which means these uprights can be used with some third party lower control arms that run a vertical bearing or uniball at the lower mount. The upper control arm must either be an AVID arm or a custom arm built to match our geometry and uniball configuration.
